\nExit at The Alameda; Cross over the freeway, southbound, go two blocks
\nRight turn onto Hedding St; Go four blocks, left turn (south) onto Dana Av
\nGo three blocks, pass the Muni Rose Garden and cross Naglee Av
\nAfter two blocks, Lincoln High is on the right<\/p>\n

— From Hwy 880 northbound —
\nExit at Bascom Avenue, South; go South two blocks
\nLeft turn onto Hedding St; Go two blocks, right turn (south) onto Dana Av
\nGo three blocks, passing the Muni Rose Garden and crossing Naglee Av
\nAfter two blocks, Lincoln High is on the right
\n— From Hwy 280 eastbound —
\nExit at Bascom\/Leigh onto Moorpark Ave (San Jose City College)
\nLeft turn onto Leland Avenue from Moorpark
\nAfter five blocks you will reach Olive Ave and Lincoln High<\/p>\n

— From Hwy 280 westbound —
\nExit at Leigh Ave onto Parkmoor (San Jose City College)
\nRight turn onto Leigh from Parkmoor. After three long blocks,
\nleft turn onto Dana Ave Lincoln High is on the left, at the next corner<\/p>\n

— From Hwy 87 —
\nExit at Taylor Street, West
\ngo west 15 blocks (cross Coleman and The Alameda)
\nLeft turn (south) onto Dana Avenue
\nAfter two blocks, Lincoln High is on the right<\/p>\n

As always, work-outs start at 6:00; be early to warm-up by jogging 1 to 8 laps. Stretch. Start each work-out with 4 x 100M strides to loosen up. After the summer racing season, in Nov through Feb we ramp up interval lengths until in January and February, they total three miles on Monday and four miles on Wednesday. Intervals are longer, slower paced and have shorter recoveries. As the weather warms in March\/April, we begin to shorten distances and start to focus on speed. In the hot summer months the speed focus is through short intervals and long recoveries. In September\/October we continue to focus on speed with long recovery times, but individual interval lengths will be longer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
